IT Security Monitoring & Support Operative

Do you want to become experienced and certified within the areas of network security, intrusion analysis, defending against hackers, incident investigation, network attacks and other forms of computer exploitation?

Security On-Demand is an 8 year-old IT security consulting firm based in San Diego, California providing network security solutions, risk assessments and managed security. We are looking for an IT help desk and part time field technician to work in our Security Operations Center (NOC), providing network device monitoring, security threat monitoring, help desk support, Microsoft product support, end user troubleshooting and support, etc.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a background as a level 1 or 2 support technician within a fast-paced help desk or network monitoring environment. This opportunity includes Tier 1 help desk support for Network Security and monitoring of security devices, firewalls, IDS, IPS, security alerts, etc. A key component of this position involves triage and response to client security events and potential security incidents.

There may be a requirement to work evening shift hours. A requirement of the position will be to become a SANS certified Intrusion Analyst within 6-12 months of hire. This is requirement can be fulfilled by the candidate through self-study and internal training.
